Pride is Progress
The Progress Pride Flag is a symbol of the diversity and strength of the LGBTQ+ community. It is a reminder that there is still work to be done in the fight for equality, but that we are making progress.

My use of PEZ figurines is particularly effective in this piece. PEZ figurines are diverse, colorful, and fun. They are also associated with childhood and innocence. This juxtaposition of the serious topic of LGBTQ+ rights with the lightheartedness of PEZ figurines is to be thought-provoking. It forces the viewer to consider the ways in which LGBTQ+ people are often denied their childhood and innocence.
The art piece "PRIDE IS PROGRESS" is a powerful and moving reminder of the importance of LGBTQ+ rights. It is a call to action for all of us to continue fighting for a more inclusive and just society.
