The Seminar: ( NEW!! ) Many of you living far away from New York have expressed the desire to enroll in one of our Mosaic workshops. Since the City's adversorial lodging costs are at their prime, a "time compressed" workshop was in dire need of existence.
Now in effect, consider the Out of Towners class a "Mosaic Art mini boot camp" of some sort. It's all of what you will do, think and talk about for 4 days! There are a lot of variables to consider with this workshop. We could write a lot and make the reading really heavy!! The are numerous variables to this course. Emails and phone calls are consequently welcome!
In a few words it is in a way similar to the Creative workshop; however we do not recommend it for the beginners but can customize it to fit your abilities.
- We do not include the base and the materials you will be using in this workshop.; finally, since Picassiette is Valerie's specialty it is the technique of choice within this advanced class; nonetheless Smalti, Micromosaic and Glass based project are Valerie's daily bread!
Regarding logistics, shipping UPS ground track your base and media seems to be the most sensible and easiest way. Should you be running short of something we can always get it in the 24-hour City.
To best serve you, all of the projects submitted will have to be approved by Valerie prior to your enrollment. Finally, the Out of towners' Mosaic class welcomes the beloved New Yorkers!! What did we think!?!!

The Advanced Workshop is only accessible to the students who have completed the Student and/or the Creative course. It is designed for the individual who has acquired and mastered the basics of mosaic and desire to pursue the development of a more creative and complex Mosaic Art piece. During this workshop you will acquire experience, fine tune your technique and put yourself through a test. Valerie will show you the different routes possible with your project. However this is an opportunity to access you creative spirit and define your artistic skills even if the path you're about to take is sometimes a total blur!
The advanced workshop is also a budget conscious solution for creating some personal time, build inner peace and reward yourself with something beautiful you have created. This workshop does not have to be a contest or another occasion to challenge yourself but rather an opportunity to have fun with an Art you are starting to master.
